What you get

From measurement to a room that is right

01

A week of measuring

Sensors for light, sound, temperature, humidity and CO₂ stay in your room for a week, while you simply sleep as usual.

02

A report against the standard

Per factor: what we measured, where it departs from the bedroom standard, and what will make the most difference.

03

A design

Blackout, evening lighting, acoustics, ventilation and climate, in the style of your room and with the source behind every choice.

04

The bed

Firmness, topper and size, tried for a night first. A Hästens if it suits you, and no pressure if it doesn't.

05

Implementation

With trusted partners for curtains, lighting, acoustics and climate, or with the builder and designer you already have.

06

Measuring again

After the work is done we measure again, so you can see the difference rather than having to take it on trust.

Who it is for

For every room where someone sleeps

  • Private clients who are building or renovating a bedroom, or simply want to furnish it better
  • Hotels: one suite, one floor or the whole hotel, with an annual re-measurement
  • Interior designers who want their client's bedroom to be right for sleep as well
  • Architects and property developers, from the design stage
  • Holiday homes, chalets and yachts

How it works

Measure, design, implement

01

Introduction

Your room, your nights, your plans. What should the room do, and what disturbs you now?

02

Measuring

A week of sensors in the room, followed by the report against the bedroom standard.

03

Design

A design per factor, with price and schedule, on our own or together with your designer.

04

Implementation and re-measuring

The work with our partners, the bed after a trial night, and a second measurement.

What we measure against

The SleepSpa bedroom standard

Six factors, each with a source: light, sound, temperature, humidity, fresh air and the bed. The standard is public, so you can look up where every piece of advice comes from.

Light

Dimmed, warm light in the evening; as dark as possible at night.

Sound

Outside, an average of no more than 40 dB at night; inside, as quiet as possible, without peaks.

Temperature

Cool, and cooler than the rest of the house.

Humidity

A relative humidity between 40 and 60 per cent.

Fresh air

Ventilated, even with the door closed: keep CO₂ low.

The bed

A bed that suits your body, your sleeping position and your partner, tried first.

Questions about the service

What does it cost to have my bedroom measured and designed?

That depends on the room and on what you want carried out; you receive a price on request, in advance. If you then choose a Hästens through SleepSpa, we offset the cost of measuring against the purchase.

Do you work with my interior designer?

Gladly. The designer decides how the room looks; we provide the measurement, the standard and the advice per factor, and the bed. That way the room is right on both counts.

What does a hotel get?

A measurement per room type, a design that fits an existing room, and Hästens beds through SleepSpa. Rooms that meet the standard may be described by the hotel as measured to the SleepSpa bedroom standard, with a new measurement every year.

Do I also have to buy a Hästens?

No. The bed is one of the six factors. We advise on what suits you, and you sleep on it for a night first.

Is this a medical treatment?

No. We measure and design the room. If you have sleep problems that persist, see your GP first.
