Does the Jack Ryde edition sleep differently from a regular 2000T?
Hästens presents the edition as a 2000T, and the catalogue mentions no different interior. The difference lies in the finish and in Jack Ryde's signature.
In 2025 Jack and Solveig Ryde, the fourth generation of Hästens, would have turned one hundred. Hästens honours Jack with a limited edition of the bed he designed: the 2000T Jack Ryde 100 Year Anniversary Limited Edition, with his signature on the bed. Inside is the 2000T, the bed that introduced the Blue Check in 1978.
With his wife Solveig, Jack Ryde led Hästens as the fourth generation; he is the father of the current owner, Jan Ryde. He spent more than ten years working on a bed that would surpass all earlier comfort and look unlike anything that existed.
That bed became the 2000T, named after the approaching millennium. At the Stockholm Furniture Fair of 1978 it was the first Hästens model in the Blue Check, the pattern Jack had experimented with for years. Until his death in 2012 he came into the factory every day.
Jack and Solveig Ryde were both born in 1925; 2025 marks the centenary of their birth. Hästens celebrates it with a limited edition of the 2000T in the Blue Check, inscribed with the name 2000T and Jack's signature.
How many will be made, how long the edition will be available and what it costs are not stated in the catalogue, so we give no figures for them. If you are interested, ask the dealer about availability and price.
The edition is a 2000T, and a 2000T sleeps like a 2000T: three spring systems, ten layers of cotton and wool, four layers of horsehair. That is the bed in one of the SleepSpa suites, so you can test the feel for a full night beforehand.

Hästens does not disclose that in the catalogue. Ask the dealer about availability; we publish no number we cannot stand behind.
