Who designed the Hästens drēmər?
Ferris Rafauli, the Toronto designer who earlier created the Grand Vividus with Hästens. The drēmər appeared in 2022, for Hästens' 170th anniversary.
Canadian designer Ferris Rafauli, known for Drake's house in Toronto, designed two beds with Hästens: the Grand Vividus (2020), the most expensive bed the brand makes, and the drēmər (2022), released for its 170th anniversary. The first is an object that drew a waiting list; the second brings the same design language to the permanent collection.
Ferris Rafauli is a Toronto designer working on homes at the very top end, from facade to furniture. His best-known work is the rapper Drake's house, featured in Architectural Digest in 2020 — with a Hästens in it.
In 2020 Hästens released the Grand Vividus with Rafauli: the pinnacle of the collection, and one of the most expensive beds in the world you can order. Drake was the first buyer, and a waiting list formed at launch.
It is a bed that is also an object: a headboard as architecture, materials that set the tone of an interior. Our page on the most expensive bed in the world has the ranking and the sources.
For the 170th anniversary, in 2022, came the drēmər, again designed by Rafauli. Where the Grand Vividus seeks the extreme, the drēmər brings the same design language to the permanent collection: contemporary in line, Hästens inside.
On the inside the drēmər is identical to the 2000T: the same triple spring system and the same number of springs. What Rafauli designed is what you see: the headboard, the fabric and the legs, in four colourways.

The Grand Vividus is the pinnacle of the collection, a bed and an object at once, in a price range few other beds reach. The drēmər brings the same designer to the permanent collection, contemporary in form. Prices for both are on request.
