How long is the warranty on Hästens springs?
Hästens gives a 25-year warranty on the springs and the frames. What applies to your bed is stated in your own warranty document.
Beneath the natural fibres lie two spring systems and a frame of Swedish pine. Pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket, move independently and come in soft, medium and firm. Below them are Bonnell springs: conical, non-galvanised, acting as a shock absorber. The springs are made in Sweden; Hästens gives a 25-year warranty on springs and frame.
The middle mattress contains a patented pocket spring system, calibrated soft, medium or firm. Each spring sits in its own fabric pocket and moves only when weight comes onto it; the springs beside it stay put.
The practical result: you barely notice your partner turning over. The fabric pockets also let air through the whole bed.
The base rests on Bonnell springs, Hästens' oldest spring system. They are conical and made of non-galvanised steel, and absorb the larger forces as you move — like a shock absorber beneath everything else.
According to Hästens, the springs are made exclusively in Sweden and heat-treated beforehand, so that they always return to their original shape after compression. What sets Hästens apart is not only the number of springs but the variety: how tall, how tightly coiled and how strong each spring is, and how they work together.
The frame is Swedish pine from northern Sweden, such as Värmland, where the trees grow slowly and therefore strong. The joints are lined with flax so the frame doesn't creak.
According to Hästens, all wooden frames and headboards are FSC-certified: the wood is traceable and comes from forests managed with biodiversity in mind.

That is not the idea: flax under and around the springs stops steel touching steel and dampens sound. It is one of the first things people notice.
